LIFE AT SBCA

CAMPUS TOUR

We choose to educate!

According to the Word of God, children should be educated. The scripture is replete with charges to instruct them: "Train up a child in the way he should go;" "These words which I command thee this day . . . teach them diligently to thy children;" "And ye shall teach them to your children;" God feels very strongly that children need to be educated. Although a child may learn many life principles on his or her own, it should not be left up to them to fully educate themselves. They need to be directed. We have been created with an immense capacity and capability of learning. We must be selective about what we place into their young minds. South Bay Christian Academy is here to help with the education of our children. Would you commit to pray for our ministry? Surely, the Lord will bless you!

Mission Statement

      Who We Are

South Bay Christian Academy was born from a dream of our own Rev. Arthur

Hodges, Jr. over thirty years ago. SBCA is dedicated to educating children from

Kindergarten through Senior High School in principles of "how to live" as well as "how to make a living" as Christians in the 21st Century.

The objective in building a private Christian school is to obey the Scriptural imperatives of Deuteronomy 6:5-7a "...love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children...:and of Proverbs 22:6 to train up a child in THE way he SHOULD go. Teaching is training. Training for life must include training for eternity.

A Christian school is an extension of the Christian home in training young people in a Christian environment for time and eternity. The school staff works closely with parents to train the whole child.
Participation in this school ministry is a privilege and not a right. The goal of this school is not to reform wayward young people, but to train Christian youth of every ability in the highest principles of Christian leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship. This school stands without apology for the old-time Gospel and the highest standards of morality in Christian behavior.

SBCA pursues excellence in training and educating young people to the extent that no child is left behind academically, or morally. The Word of God mandates that we should diligently teach our children the words which He has given us. (Deut. 6:4-6).

To this end, we set forth in ministry.
